i loved it, the crowd was hyped too! of course some slip-ups due to nerves, inexperience. but imagine what he would be like in like 1 or 2 years! his shows will be greaaat. but we love him before his live shows bcoz of his music, lyrics, his generosity with his 3 now classic mixtapes. so we will stick with him and continue loving him. that show just made him so much more 'human' and lovable.

[...] Roc Nation artist Rita Ora has released the video to her new single, R.I.P, that features London rapper Tinnie Tempah. The song was written by Drake with help from Toronto singer/songwriter Shi Wisdom. Drake originally recorded his version called, I’m Ready for Ya (which is the best version, in my opinion). Next, it was meant for Rihanna’s LOUD album, but never meant the cut. Now, London-based singer Rita Ora has dusted off the song, added a hot rapper to it and called it her own. I should also mention that both songs sample the chorus from Nigerian/German singer Nneka’s song, Heartbeat. [...]

Take 2! Lol!

After reading your post properly and calmly, I agree with some points you've made, but I have to make the following points:

Rihanna started dressed like Rita and bleached her hair a few weeks before she knew Rita was going to be making her debut which was a sly move to try and be Rita before Rita could be Rita, in doing this she's ensured people make comparisions between them and not in favour of Rita). I was a Rihanna fan but I obviously love Rita much more and it frustrates me to see negative things about her when she was so unique but has had her whole persona taken from her after working so hard for years to launch her career.

People need a give Rita a chance instead of referring to her as a Rihanna wannabe and there is room for both artists in the industry as musically they are very different. I don't think Rita will find her signature in her first album especially because it's going to be such a blend of different genres but I think it's important that she lets her personality shine through because that's what is gonna set her out from the rest.

And if people want to know more about Rita they should watch her video diaries and her cover of "Somebody I Used To Know" and you'll see that she really can sing!!

Nice blog! x

Did you read my article or just the title?? >>>
I never even mentioned the hair similarities. Nobody is talking about hair. I know enough about music to know a stale vocal performance when I hear one. Rihanna may not be a great singer, but when she sings a song, she puts her own signature on it and that is what makes her memorable. This song has Rihanna all over it and that fact alone overshadows Rita.
Nobody cares about baggy clothes/style. If Rita really wants to stand out, she should choose a song that fits her voice. Besides, Drake did this better. Thanks for your comment and keep trolling :-)

You clearly know nothing about music or Rita. Rita has been blonde for years, Rihanna knew Rita was going to be huge cmpetition so she bleached her hair weeks before Rita was releasing her music, Rihanna was very sly and clever because she wanted to be Rita before Rita could be Rita, she knew stupid people like yourself would make comparisions like the above. Also Rita’s style is nothing like Rihannas, again RiRI jacke Rita’s style by suddenly dressing in baggy mens clothing and beanie hats (Ritas signature look) I mean come on how often did you ever see Rihanna cover herself up reallY?!?! Stop believing everything you read in the media, the truth is there are NO similarities between Rita and Rihanna aprt from the fact the are both signed to Roc Nation and their names begin with R. And the biggest difference is .. Rita can actually sing. Have you heard Rihanna sing live? Point made.

“This is a classic case of the mainstream stealing from the underground and it happens all the time, but the difference is Rihanna knows how much work Rita’s put in since her signing with Roc Nation, they’re LABEL MATES! So the least she could do is respect her and give her time to show the world who she is as an artist, but instead I feel like she’s stolen Rita’s persona so that when Rita does release an album she will be faced with constant Rihanna comparisons. We need to spread the word to anyone who hasn’t noticed yet and all give Rita props for being the beautiful unique artist that she is.”
