As promised, Singers Brandy and Monica released their duet single, It All Belongs to Me to radio and Internet yesterday. The song was produced by Rico Love and will serve as the first single from Brandy’s forthcoming sixth album and Monica’s third single from her upcoming New Life that drops April 10th.
Producer Rico Love told RapUp.com:
“It’s a very soulful R&B song with pop sensibilities. I wanted to make sure I made it a classic R&B record, but I definitely wanted to make sure that it had enough appeal to cross over and become a Top 40 record.”

The premise of the song is supposed to be a sequel to their 1998 hit record, The Boy is Mine that topped the charts over 14 years ago. In Boy is Mine, the two ladies fought over the same man, while in Belongs to Me, they unite to kick him to the curb.
A video is being shot for the song next week, with Chris Robinson directing.
Verdict: I don’t know ChoKlits… this MIGHT grow on me but it just seems so bland to me. Great vocal performance from both ladies but this track does nothing for me three listens in.
